Garrys Mod 10…

I just purchased and downloaded the glory that is GMod 10. Behold the many varied wonders within! All created within 10 seconds using nothing but Gmod! This is quite an interesting step forward for us sandbox addicted geeks, especially with the addition of the new Hydraulic, muscle, motor and button functions.

I was very proud of my ability to resist making sex-poses and using the morph tool for nefarious, breast-enhancing means…

So, who reckons what to Alyx’s Micheal Jackson impression?

You lost me on the “I just purchased” bit. Garry’s Mod is commercial now? Lol, I love how the sense of community, and games for fun, not profit, is alive and kicking in the modern mod scene.

Yeah its commercial now! Garry was offered access to the full HL2 Source code in exchange for Valve recieving 50% of the profits. The game only cost £5 but has a shed load of new features ontop of the last version of GMOD. Sure, you can still use version 9, but number 10 is much better…

Just wondering is there still an option to turn off ai in Gmod 10 or has that feature been removed

  5. 5 Joe December 2, 2006 at 6:46 pm

Turn off AI? You mean just spawn NPC ragdolls? Sure you can do that, or you can spawn them as they are in game and equip them with any weapon you want.

Personally I don’t bother with AI’s etc, I just make funky contraptions and action scenes/wallpapers. Much more interesting, for me.

I have to agree that GMod 10 is FAR superior to the previous versions, (much cleaner with fewer bugs) a question I have though that I can never seem to get anwsered is how do you make the NPC’s follow in game or custom dialog? I’ve seen some videos utalizing this, but I just can’t seem to figure it out…

Not something I know how to do I’m afraid. You’d be best off asking for help in the Garrys Mod official forums, the link to which can be found on the side bar.

    Cheers for reading.

I downloaded some zombie maps for online and when i try to play zombie servival online, there is no zombies out side. were can i go to turn the AI on?

  12. 12 Joe June 27, 2007 at 9:01 am

On Gmod 10? If the zombies are already included in the map then it should just work, if you have to add them then it should be done under the NPC tab.

Best idea is to contact the map-maker or check the LUA: Gamemode section of the Garrys Mod 10 forums, which is linked to via the blogroll.

    Hope that helps!

Does anyone know where i can DOWNLOAD Gmod10? because ive been on steam, but it just lets me play Gmod9…

  14. 14 Joe August 28, 2007 at 12:28 pm

    You have to buy it.

You can download the old Gmod 9 for free and play it as much as you want, but its no longer supported or updated. If you want Garrys Mod 10 then you have to buy it, which can be done over Steam as long as you aren’t a moron.

    Go there. Stay there.

Garry’s Mod 9 is old and no longer supported. To help push people on to the retail version Gmod 9 no longer has multiplayer.
